Staff was attentive

Rooms are old. Persistent Water leakage in the bathroom. Lack of dry bathroom. Balcony was big but most of it covered with bird droppings. Room was generally old. The surroundings around were not very clean. For example the area where high tea is served is not clean,.

Access. This is a bit out of the way for most of the attractions. Had to travel back to Town and then to the resort.

Everything was superb. Let it be the room ambience, view, breakfast not to forget the guest welcoming drink and the room upgrade. My elderly parents loved the environment of the property which is very quiet and peaceful.

Two of our garden view room was fishy smells when our parents entered the units. Not sure maybe any of the previous guest consume fishery food products. But we really appreciate the room service team for their quick response in arranging housekeeping once we highlight it to them. Thumbs up for them.et

The ambience and interior of the room are way too good. The external view of Kodai valley from our rooms are mind blowing. Our family members enjoyed staying in this property especially our kids. The breakfast served in both continental and South Indian type. The taste of the breakfast served was superb delicious. We are very happy that the property provide us with a room heater. About the chillness in Kodai, I would say it is bearable. So no worries. Sterling Kodai Valley is the right choice.

The bonfire timing is only up to 8.30pm. I wish it can be extend for a little longer time because mostly the guest are travelling from one location to another location. Unfortunately, we couldn't enjoy the bonfire on the night as we arrived the property late night around 9pm.

No ventilation and moldy rooms

I had a disappointing stay. The rooms lacked ventilation, which caused mold and an unpleasant smell. After complaining, I was moved to a cleaner room, but it also did not have proper ventilation.Room service was very slow. I ordered tea and coffee, but they arrived late and both were cold.Overall, the experience was below expectations.

Furniture, bed, staff behaviour, cleanliness, high price for room and food. No value for money

The staff were very welcoming. Pretty corporative.

The entertainment section of the hotel needs to be checked. They charged us unnecessarily but we anyway sorted it out.

Items were good. Variety and new nutrition concepts included.

Music at restaurant was sad tune of Kenie G.

1) An extra pair of toilet tissue should have been kept in the washroom. I ran out of it and requested replenishment, hardly anyone bothered to address this.2) At checkin, you are insisted to put the ages of the guest in the application form. This is ridiculous. If they need to validate, they may refer to id proof. 3) There is no place for drivers(for people who took taxi or used someone to drive his own car) to stay inside the premises. 4) There is evening tea/coffee provided in a nostalgic environment. However, this was charged at very exorbitant prices ( one small cup of tea/coffee at Rs 99+ taxes) despite room rates already being on a higher side. Ideally, this should have been on a compliment basis or at a discounted rate.5) The linen used for bed needs a complete overhaul or replacement.

Liked the friendliness of the friend desk staff especially Karthika, Joshi and Arun. They were helpful. The restaurant staff and the manager were courteous.

Rooms were stinking , sticky , dirty furniture’s , food stains everywhere in the dining sofas of the restaurant, food was good but the cleanliness of rooms, washrooms are very bad

Good maintained property with many holiday activities inside the property itself. Food quality is good.big size rooms with adequate facilities, big lawn area and very big parking lot,buggy service for the terrain, herbal garden , everything is good.

Horrible check out experience from staff Karthika. Many staffs are from north india and they don't know Tamil or english. They expect us to speak in there language. Horrible . They have to employ local staffs in all there locations along with english basic knowledge.

Worst staff management

Staffs are not friendly, they will make u wait for an hour at the time of check in if we call nd book the room for walk in they won’t respond properly they will cut your call if u booked ur room in booking.com staffs will act so nice to u at the check out time to get ur full review rating in booking.com they won’t leave u out until u give the ratings

The property Family rooms are very good. The Living room with TV is life saver , giving space for kids to move around and watch TV while others are resting in room. These rooms then it has outside seating area for nice chitchat in open . The view outside the property looks towards mountain which is scenic. The staff here is very polite and humble , prompt in addressing your needs. The food we took was buffet for lunch and dinner and was quite nice however just be aware that the focus is mainly south Indian cuisine and northIndian cuisine.

The kids discovery zone need to spice up a bit more so more option are available for less than 5 to 6 year old.The Spa need more variety of therapies.They can improve their buffet by running differemt southern states theme ( I know I may be asking here too much ! ) .
